When receiving orthopaedic care through Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, patients have access to treatment at multiple locations throughout Lancaster County including Columbia, Kissel Hill, Parkesburg and downtown Lancaster.

The orthopaedic department provides a variety of services such as:
  • Treatment for general orthopaedic conditions
  • Carpal tunnel surgery
  • Joint replacement surgery
  • Minimally invasive procedures, X-rays and ultrasounds
  • Nonsurgical treatment options
  • Sports medicine care
In addition to the services noted above, the orthopaedic team continues to introduce new care options to the community. The department is pleased to announce their Queen Street location now offers an Orthopaedic Walk-In Clinic. The clinic works closely with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health’s other Urgent Care locations and helps streamline treatment for orthopaedic injuries while also eliminating the need for trips to the emergency department. There are also plans for a back pain clinic where patients will be able to access holistic therapy options for treatment if needed.

The orthopaedic team works closely with the sports medicine team to provide treatment to both athletes and nonathletes in the area. Patients can receive care for a variety of sports medicine conditions and also have access to a range of minimally invasive treatments for tendons as well as unique regenerative treatments like platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP promotes tissue repair and healing for muscles, tendons and damaged tissue and is used to treat conditions ranging from osteoarthritis to tennis elbow.

No matter what type of orthopaedic or sports medicine care you need, the providers at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health are committed to working together for a positive patient experience. The departments collaborate to connect patients to the best specialist for their condition and ensure they receive the right care at the right time.
